Letters to the Southport Visiter - Southport Visiter

Letters to the Southport Visiter
Oct 8 2010 Southport Visiter

RE: Orange Lodge. As an ex-café owner in Southport town centre, I can assure you that the Orange Lodge Parade was the icing on the cake.
The café that we owned was in West Street, close to the junction with Coronation Walk.

It seated just 36 people and on Orange Man’s Day we served over 350 people with either a roast dinner and desert or one of the other favourite’s, steak pie.

Without that boost to our trade the outlook was dismal.

It is one day, and the town is bursting with people.
