Belfast City Council is opening the Community Festivals Fund and the Development & Outreach Initiative today. Both funds promote access to culture and arts participation, and community / skills development through arts, cultural and heritage activities.

The Community Festivals fund offers grants from £2,500 to £10,000 for Festivals happening between 1st April and 30th September 2012. The closing date is 24 February at noon. (A second Tranche will open on 20th June and close on 10th August for Festivals taking place from 1st October 2011 to 31st March 2012.)

The Development and Outreach Initiative offers grants up to £20,000 for partnership projects taking place between May 2012 and April 2013. The Closing date is 5 March 2012 at noon.


Belfast City Council and Community Arts Partnership are jointly holding open Funding Advice Sessions in various venues around the city from next week.  The Funding Advice Sessions will be done in partnership with Community Arts Partnership (CAP) which is one of our multi annually funded organisations, who will be on hand to give quality advice on best practice within partnership projects and practical advice to communities considering making an application to Development and Outreach.

Dates and venues of funding sessions:

Tuesday 7th February
2-3pm: Ballynafeigh Community House (Ormeau Road)
4-5pm: Groundwork NI (63-75 Duncairn Gardens)

Thursday 9th February
10-11am: Richview Regeneration Centre (337 Donegall Road)
12-1pm: Cultúrlann McAdam Ó Fiaich (216 Falls Road)

Friday 10th February
10-11am: Andersonstown Leisure Centre (Andersonstown Road)
12-1pm: Mount Conference Centre (2 Woodstock Link)

Tuesday 14th February
11.30-12.30: Spectrum Centre (331 Shankill Road)
2-3pm: Belmont Tower, (82 Belmont Church Road)

 

Please note: no need to book for these sessions, just come along.  We can also offer one-to-one meetings with organisations needing specific advice and guidance, and CAP can offer further training and assistance if a particular need is identified.
